I’ve always been a fan of German engineering. Any reason why we do not hear more about the Isaac Aerotic Pro and/or Isaac bikes in general? It appears that the reviews for their frames are always top notch, so I’m thinking it’s a distribution issue and a short list of dealers in the U.S.?
Anyone have any experience with the Isaac Aerotic? If so, what are your impressions?
I’ve ridden one for a year now- nice, stiff-bike sucks climbing, I got mine as a yr end frame deal so didn’t pay a ton-it was worth it. I’m not jonesing for anything new, it is a weighty bike-that I don’t like but I can easily take a lb or 3 off of me right now. I run Blackwell 50/100’s tubies on it for racing. I like having a bike no-one else has

One of the local cat. 1 studs TTs on one. Everytime I see it I’m struck anew by how w i d e it is, especially through the seat tube/chainstay/rear brake area (like the new Fuji). Doesn’t stop him from kicking all of our butts, though…
I have been on an Isaac Aerotic since Wildflower this year. It climbed just fine for me on that course. I also rode it at IM Lanzarote and IM Canada and ride it around all the mountains around here in Boulder, CO. I believe the new Aerotic Pro has a 78-degree option, but the '08 model has an additional seat post that can convert the 76-degrees to 78.
One of the only faults I’ve been able to find in the bike is the difficulty of placing the rear wheel to fit evenly with the rear cutout.
My Joule Aerotic comes in at around 15.9 lbs w/o pedals running straight 404 tubulars (w/PT). With a disc cover and pedals, it’s a about 17.2. Granted the frame is a “small”, but I wouldn’t call that “heavy” for a TT bike…
