Is this the new Speedmax?

Marlen Reusser from the Movistar women’s team just posted an image of a very interesting new camouflaged time trial bike.

Is this the new Canyon Speedmax? Any chance we see this at Kona this year?

The seat post looks very interesting with like a triangular cutout and the fork looks larger and more bayonet-y. Also down tube looks less wide to my eye, which is interesting to me and fits with the trend of the new Colnago TT2.

What do people think of this one?

Looks like a post-photo A.I. obscuration. What at first appears as a “triangular cutout” between the top tube and seat post is the rider’s leg. We’ll have to wait to see the details of what they’re putting together.

Ahh yes you are right!

Was thinking they might be doing something like the new BMC or the Incolor

I asked chatgpt to remove the camo

It kinda did a good job

Kat also posted a secret bike today. Maybe announcement soon?

I hope that’s sarcasm. It just did a terrible/random job.

They tagged Shimano Road in the pic

On today’s PTN podcast Mark said they’re headed to Germany, where Talbot is also headed, for a special Canyon event.

No rotor brake on the front wheel…?

I heard that as well and assumed it is definitely the new Speedmax release.

Gotta innovate somewhere

Would not be surprised if Kat has BOTH the new Speedmax and the new Dura Ace wheels + fully wireless 1x 13s groupset.

I’d be surprised if any triathletes will get next-gen dura-ace before any pro teams do.

Any further info on the new Speedmax?. The current SLX and CFR are now on sale discounted by €1k and €1.5k respectively. Don’t think I have seen them that heavily discounted before.

Wish those discounts were here in the US!

Haven’t seen anything else, but suspect we might see the new bike at the Tour De France.

I think the hole is much smaller. If you look closely, you can see a little section of grass just below the top tube. It is not as a big a gap as the other photos.

Actually it looks like that 45 degree section of “frame” is the riders right leg.

It’s obviously her shoe and foot that AI mistakes as part of the frame.

Hmm. After looking at it again, I think you are right. I thought the leg was hidden behind the frame, but it looks like the shoe and part of the sock seem to be “wrapped” in the same design as the frame.
