your insole/sock liner at the dismount line at T2? Silly minor question, but I lost my factory liner and now using Superfeet insoles. I’d hate to lose one of these at $30/pair.
While I’m grappling with mounting with preclipped in shoes, I do dismount without clicking out. Its just my shoes dangle and swing from the pedals as I haul ass to my transition area, which was where I lost my last insole. Do you all do anything special to prevent this? Two-sided tape?
I use custom orthotics with a replacement cost of over $100, and due to there construction are more likely to full out than normal liners.
Its easy to fix though, I just put a small piece of double sided tape under the orthotic or a couple of dabs of contact adhesive. Either method works well and I can still pull the orthotics out for cleaning etc as I only use a small amount of tape or glue.
Hasn’t happened to me in a race, but i find that if insoles want to pop out, i use small pads of carefully placed double-sided stick-on velcro under the insole to keep it in place. velcro alows removabilitiy for cleaning and drying which is critical.
