Is this bike Do-able?

I can get a great deal on this used 2011 Felt . But im thinking its too small. Its a 54 and
im 5’9" . Id like to make this work because the price is so good. Can I make this bike work
with a fitting? Or should i hold out for a bigger frame?

At 5’9"… a 54 cm might actually be too large a frame for you. There’s no way it’s too small unless you got some freaky proportions. The next size up (56 cm) generally fit people like myself who are 6’ tall. That stated, it all depends.

If you are 5’9, the 54 might be too BIG. I’m your height, and my 51 P3C fits me perfectly (Felt and Cervelo have similar geometry.) I’d think you could make that 54 fit just fine.

depends on your proportions and the position you intend to ride in. there is no way we could tell you.

yes…i agree with you …all the Spec Charts indicate i should be in a 54…but it just looks
small to me.

I’m 5’9 and I ride a 51 P3.

I had a 51 P2 that fit perfect, while my friend has a 54 P2 that feels too big for me, but we’re just about the same height. The difference is she’s all legs and I’m not. She cannot get high enough on the 51. Standing side by side though, you’d say we would both ride the same frame.

So… it depends.

you’re right, the fit on that bike doesn’t look right. I’m 5’8-9ish and rode a 52cm felt quite comfortably.

your seat looks a little low, the bars look a little high but your right that the bike looks small…hmmm…

i think you mean , is he sure he is 5-9, certainly doesn’t appear so with a scaled arm length back of elbow to index knuckle of just over 16", assuming those are jet 9s

he appears to be closer to 6-5

i’m 5’9" as well and my 54 Felt B14 is perfect for me.

The reason it’s perfect it because I am all torso and no legs.

my comment as well. I’m 5’7" and ride a B10 in a 52 and am lower and more spread out than that.

are you sure that’s a 54? is it possible they just put the wrong sticker on the bike?

the bikein pic scales to about a 54, however, maybe that isn’t the OP in the pic??? cuz that dude is not 5-9
