Looking for a running watch and was wondering what this watch does? For $35? Is it real?
Thanks
Wow, of course there is the old saying “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is!”
One would think there has to be something wrong.
What do you think? A $450 watch for $10 + $26 shipping from China? All the sellers feedback looks fake or random junk to boost seller rating.
I just might go for it. I mean it’s going to be paypal anyway so I might just test them out for $37
That’s what I was thinking. I mean the watch band is going for $20 something. I thought maybe is was only a watch as the text looks like a cut and past job?
Having bought a ton of electronic components from China, I’d say that I’ve never seen a $26 shipping charge. Ever.
This said - pay through Paypal and if they flake, open a dispute.
Is the high shipping price the core of the scam? Will PayPal refund the cost AND the shipping? If not, the seller provides junk for $11+$26 shipping, some complain and refunded $11 (only) and the seller keeps the difference between $26 and the actual shipping costs???
I may do it, too just because it’s such a cheap gamble haha. If it’s real, HOLY SHIT. If it’s fake, oh well, open dispute and move on.
Why settle for a 920 when you can get a Fenix 3 with heart rate strap for the same price!
Hahaha that one even comes with a HRM!!
Good find. Definitely a fucking scam.
I keep refreshing the page and the number available fluctuates from 4-6 range available. I’ll just keep counting to sixty and mapping the movement of the sun to time my runs for now…
That’s probably the gist of it.

The scam is that they delay shipping the item so that by the time you get it it’s outside the PayPal dispute window.
This also gives them ~60days to sell items before the negative feedback makes them switch accounts.
Sure, but you’d have to be gullible enough to believe whatever excuses they give you and ignorant enough of eBay/PayPal policy to not open a dispute in the 45(?)-day window. There’s nothing to stop you buying one, see what happens and then if necessary open a dispute even if you expect there’s a chance you might still receive your goods. As long as you’ve got the dispute process rolling within the 45 day window, you can cancel it if the seller comes good.
Unless there has been a recent change in eBay/PayPal policy (which admittedly they do a lot) then you will get the shipping costs refunded too in a dispute. The only thing I could see you getting stung for is any import taxes, which you’d have to pay for out of your own pocket with no recourse.
I think someone should give it a go and see what happens, I’d quite like to see what piece of counterfeit rubbish shows up at the door! I already have a genuine Fenix 3, so I’m out
Paypal dispute window is now 180 days. And they will refund your shipping as well, it’s not like the old days where the seller could keep shipping.

They do offer warranty from legitimate stores on eBay but not online auctions.
eBay offers online auction sales and Buy It Now sales. Buy It Now sales from legitimate stores on eBay do offer the full Garmin product warranty. Products that are purchased from eBay auctions are not covered by Garmin warranty.
A copy of the original sales receipt from the original retailer is required for warranty service. Online auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification and Garmin will not replace any missing components from any package purchased through an online auction.

If that were the only issue, I think I would be willing to take that risk for $11.
Did anyone buy one just to see?
For that price it isn’t even a Chinese knockoff. Knockoff has got to be at least $50. That’s a scam. They may issue $11 refunds if forced and pocket the shipping. That could be the scam. Or they aren’t shipping anything. They can delay shipping long enough before they are discovered and shut down. By then the money is in a Chinese bank out of reach.
