Anybody ever hear of this?

Yes, athletes of the year for various categories were published in the spring USAT magazine. There were also one to several honorable mentions for each category.

Yes, USA Triathlon names honorable mention athletes for all the categories that they give Triathlete of the Year awards for.

Hopefully you are not a 2022 USATRI National Champion as you would need a magnifying glass to read your name on Page 50. Shame on USAT for not making those results legible.

Also, how can an athlete who identifies as International be included as a USA Honorable Mention Athlete of the year? Isn’t it exclusively for Americans?
