Is there such a thing as a moldable silicone, available in sheet form?

I want something that fits the above description, in sheet form, for a few winter projects I’m starting.

I don’t think Sugru or Versimold would work, as these come only in a ‘puck’ form. Unless someone here has rolled them out into a uniform sheet and then done some custom molding of that … in which case, I’m all ears.

Does anyone have leads or tips on availability?

I wonder if you could roll sugru out with a rolling pin to make a sheet of it. If so, then maybe asking them if you could buy a bigger chunk to do it with.

Does it have to be slicone?

Kydex plastic sheets are moldable. There is a guy who uses these to make custom handgun holsters and sells them on eBay. Learned about this from a relative who bought one of these holsters.

Otherwise good luck.

It doesn’t have to be silicone, but the final product needs to be flexible after it has cured. I have used kydex to create fixes for a few other bike projects, but in these cases, the finished / molded product was rigid. It’s good stuff, though.

In my experience, typically silicone isn’t moldable, at least in a way you’re probably wanting. It’s a cross-linked polymeric rubber. You can cast 2-part mixtures (or 1-part) that do well to fill in spaces, but they’re very much liquid until set. Polypropylene and polyethylene might be better bets. That you can probably shape and heat weld with ease.

Are you familiar with Smooth-On. They make 2 part silicone systems for use in mold making. You would pour this over your negative, maybe multiple layers, and peel off.

Proflex with silicone

Proflex is a flexible plastic, It does not have the elastomeric properties of silicone. Doesn’t mean it won’t work for the OP as I’m not sure what is being made.
