Is there really a difference?

I’m looking for a rear hydration mount. I currently have the minoura but it rattles too much. I’m looking at the saddlewing, flatwing and hydrotail (aluminum) I can’t see a real difference between the systems other than the hydrotail claims to save 2 minutes over an hour of riding. Is any of this true and what do you think is the best system? Thx

I found the minoura rattled too much when it got loose and kept bending the mounting plate.

I went with the Flatwing, it works well for me. The Saddlewing was too high for me, the hydrotail was too expensive.

I like the flat wing:
-it is tucked closer to the body than the other two
-it has muliple positions
-it is very stiff and rarely launches bottles; the saddlewing and minoura are bad about doing that
-it is the least expensive of the three you are considering.

As for the difference in time savings, there probably isn’t a difference that can be determined outside of a wind tunnel with your specific set up.
