Is there a wifi scale that can reliably get weight data to Training Peaks?

I was on the brink of buying a Withings WS-50 about 6 months ago when I heard the rumours of the upcoming Garmin Index Scale and have been on the fence ever since. The Garmin offering seems like the usual ass-upwards product launch I’ve come to expect from Garmin and 3 months down the line it doesn’t seem as though they’re any closer to fixing all the issues with it, not to mention the fact that they seem to have intentionally impeded the Garmin Connect → Training Peaks auto-syncing for weight data.

In following various forum threads and the comments sections on DCRainmaker, it seems as though data syncing from Withings to Training Peaks and Garmin Connect is a bit unreliable nowadays too, with periods where it works absolutely fine and then other periods where no data makes it across for weeks on end.

I was just wondering if there’s a wifi scale on the market right now that can reliably get weight data into Training Peaks? My tried-and-tested dumb scales are fine, but the human element (i.e. me inputting my data) is somewhat less reliable!

I’ve been using the cheaper of the two Withings (sorry, can’t remember the model number but they only do two wifi ones) and I’ve had no issues with uploading to training peaks in the 6 -8 months or so that I’ve owned them.

I’ve been using the Withings Smart scale since Christmas and had no issues with the automatic transfer to TP
.

Does the Garmin scale upload directly from gc to tp? I thought it had to go through myfitnesspal just like the withings scale.

I have an older withings scale (4 years old) and it uploads everytime to TP via myfitnesspal.

I purchased a “Withings Wifi Body Scale” from Amazon several years ago, it has reliably synced since I began using TP.

Thanks for all the replies.

Hmmm, perhaps I’m getting confused about the Withings → TP auto-sync being intermittently broken then, seeing as lots of you have it working well. That sounds like a pretty solid option then.

Out of interest, for those of you with a WS-50 (rather than the more basic WS-30), does it sync any of the metrics other than weight (e.g. body fat)?
