I have a Sole F85 that I bought in 2014 for a reference point.
For a while my treadmill has been making subtle popping sounds and I figured it was time to lube the belt so I did that last week. I’m training for a 100 miler and did a 50K on it today and could tell it’s not the belt making the noise since it got worse and worse as the run went on. I found that If I ran on the back half of the TM that it wouldn’t make the popping sound and I think I can feel a subtle depression near the front of the deck. After the run, I loosened the belt and couldn’t see anything noticeable on the deck.
I guess it’s time to contact Sole but I wondered if anyone else had any experience with this type of thing?

Sounds like it’s cracked, although I’m surprised you didn’t see the crack when you lubed it.
I’m assuming you know that loosening the hex screws on the back on the TM loosens the belt enough to take a good look at the deck (this is the way you’re supposed to lube it.)
I found small cracks on my deck this way - on mine though it wasn’t adversely affecting anything. I emailed Sole customer service, and they called me back and arranged to have a full free replacement deck sent my way. It’s not hard to change the deck, but annoyingly there are really no good instructions on how to do it. Simplest way though is to loosen the belt, take off the rear corner protectors, and just slide out the deck for the new one. Once you know how to do it, it’s a piece of cake.

I have the same treadmill and just had my deck replaced. I could not see any cracks, it was just the deck got kinda “soft” and bouncy near the middle where i would run the most. The service-guy who changed my deck said it probably was due to unsufficient lubrication, which would make the deck very hot over time, which in turn weakens the deck. At some point, it’ll soften and eventually crack/break.
