Is Canyon taking the US seriously?

I am curious as to how many US based athletes have been able to purchase a Canyon bike.

They are amazing at marketing

However, my personal experience has been they almost never have stock available in the US

Right now the following bikes are showing stock as “coming soon”. And have been “coming soon” for the past 18 months

Speedmax

Lux trail

Aeroroad

My experience with “coming soon” means - never. Sign up for the email list to be alerted when stock is available, and never hear anything.

I was optimistic when Canyon entered the US market. It is depressing to see how poorly they have executed

If anyone has actually purchased a Canyon in the US, would love to hear your exprience.

to be fair to canyon, i don’t take the US very seriously either.

I’ve bought two Canyons but not since the pandemic. One in 2018 and the other right before the pandemic hit in early 2020.

It took my 7 months of waiting to get the Endurace. I ended up going one model up, which is fine because I got to justify to my wife the extra expenditure I WANTED to throw down, but couldn’t until the 105 wasn’t available, but the Di2 Ultegra was. Seems my size in this build is the only one sticking around in stock. Others are sold out or coming soon. So while not one of the models you’re eyeballing, the supply issue is real.

I remember walking into a huge bike shop this summer and seeing a ton of floor space. The only bikes in stock were casual rides. I understand it’s gotten a LITTLE better, but not much.

If manufacturing is disrupted you route your slimmed down inventory to your developed markets.

We won’t know how seriously CANYON is taking the US market until the supply chain issues (shipping in particular) have cleared up.

They have lied to me multiple times about when the speedmax would be available. I have been trying since July to buy it and have a contact at Canyon USA who keeps telling the bike is in the port in California…since August. I threw in the towel and brought the new QR V-PR. Fuck Canyon horrible horrible customer service

There have been some things going on in the world.

You are confusing global supply chain issues with company management issues.

Even if some of these bike brands can get frames, they still need the parts to sell them as complete bikes.

Have been stalking for a while and bought a MTB bike just a few months back when limited stock came on. So 1+ on getting a bike from them. Its great so far.
