Is Canyon customer service really this bad?

I received an alert that there was service required to reinforce the forks on my Speedmax. I found a Canyon dealer/bike shop to get the work done. After I brought the bike in the shop told me I needed to initiate the service via a Canyon provided link, then Canyon would provide a serial number to begin the work. That was over 3 weeks ago and nothing from Canyon. They specifically stated not to reach out because that would slow the process. Has anyone else had run ins with their service and had this bad of an outcome?
