Is anybody going to try the 3T Brezza Nano?

I enjoyed Dan’s review of the 3T Brezza Nano. Is anybody planning to try it out?

I would totally rock this bar. The thing preventing me is the high price tag.

I haven’t seen what it costs, but I have three TT bikes and I think one of them needs to sport a set of those if they’re not stupid-expensive. I just hope I don’t biff the first time I have to reach for the brakes.

At $900-freakin’ dollars! MSRP, I think I’m going to stick to the Scott 100K bars…

$900 ???

No freakin’ way.

Like all the 3t bats you cant adjust the tilt without messing up the aerodynamics, so no.

Yes, way…it says so right here (the link from Dan’s review): http://www.3tcycling.com/products.aspx?p=BrezzaIInano

If someone (Hed, Zipp, FSA etc or even 3T) came out with one that was worked with clip ons to maximize fit and minimize upgrade cost, yep. These, no.

I’m thinking about it. It’s a lot of money, but I’ve seen the regulare Brezza up close, and it’s super nice. My coach loves his, and the nano version makes sense. If I remember correctly, most of the “all CFRP aero cockpits” are in this $900-$1200 range.

I fail to see the point. Ok so you cut 10 cm of aero bar off how much will that save you over 180km or even 40km versus having a base bar that is actually usable when it counts?

That’s the big question.

My one complaint about my current bars is that they only come in 42cm width. I wish they were narrower, but I’m not sure how narrow I’d want to go.

That’s kind of where I’m at, too. I’m at 42cm now and feel I could go a bit narrower, but 30 would probably be too narrow for my comfort. I can’t say I have the best bike handling skills out there, so I’m thinking 36-38 would be about the narrowest I would like to try.

If they had something like a $150-200 basebar version I would have bought them already.

To Whoever uses that bar,
I’ll see you at the finish line 10 sec. back with $400 extra in my back pocket.

I have to think the height of the rider (or arm length) comes into play too.

I’m 5’4 so I imagine that I should be able to tolerate a much narrower bar than a guy who’s 6ft+.

At $900 it has to set a new record for worst aero bang for your buck, compared to an old style alu Vision bar at €24 brand new, shipped.

Tom,

They should be good in group rides!

How so?

Taller people - particularly the long-legged - have a higher center of gravity can result in a tougher-to-handle bike, so maybe that would have an effect. But that’s the only height-related issue I can think of.

As for the price, I’m not sure why everyone’s so surprised. Same price as the regular Brezza.

I was thinking basically what you mentioned…the centre of gravity issue.

Easton attack???
