Need good Ironman / m dot design suggestions. Can’t find one I like online.
oh boy…

Yeeha.
Instead of looking for something someone else did, you might want to consider actually going to the shop you want to use and speak to the artist. Make an appt ad offer to pay him/her for their time and start throwing out ideas. Most good artists (and I hope you chose a good artist) are very creative and can often times think in ways you can’t. What colors look good together, what lines may look good together, possible themes, etc.
I wanted something polynesian to represent the birthplace of Ironman and that’s what we did, but all I took in was a design/symbol I liked off of a visor I owned. He drew the rest and we plopped the M-Dot in the middle.
Review this thread for recommendations - the pictures get better throughout the thread.
Cheers, Chris
You should just follow the ‘ink of the week’ feature on ironman.com:

“Finishing an IRONMAN® is a goal like no other. The training and determination needed to accomplish it is unparalleled. The symbol of an IRONMAN athlete’s triumph–the mark of their discipline–is the ink on their skin.”

Hey, I have been looking for the killer Kleenex tattoo. When it comes to blowing my nose, for the longest time I can remember - “Kleenex” BRAND has been where I turn to where I know the level of performance I will get from a dual layer tissue. That being said, as Kleenex performs for me in a manner that I can just not get from the other brands - the only next logical step is to get a tattoo…
EHHHHHH…
Aren’t the tats still cool? Damn.

See, the goal is to get an 11 tooth cog into the ear lobe and a lock ring onto the nose. The “M-Dot” is supposed to be on the forehead and then a finishers medal in the lower lip.
You guys are nuts. Knew this would get a wide variety of feedback. Very entertaining

Oh Joe!

You are so clever. Get over yourself. Yea, Ironman is a brand, corporation, money making machine, yada, yada, yada. The organization still runs some of the best tri events around. In and of itself triathlon IS NOT a spectator sport. If someone did not hype it up, there would be a lot fewer folks cheering you are 9+ hours into a race. I love the sport, but there is a reason the pros don’t make much money.
Just be proud of your accomplishments and get down from your soapbox.
Do it up. We need pics.
If you took half as much time learning how to post photos as you did training to blow your nose and being funny, you might get a chuckle.
Let me guess - you have a giant Ironman tattoo that you make certain is visible any time you are out at the gym…
Wooohh I didnt know this existed. Nothing against those who want one (all power to you), but I didnt realize it was so popular that it would have its own column/web page.
I bet his parents are proud…unless he killed them.
I wonder what they think at McDonalds when he asks for an application

And another comment. Do you feel bad? Possibly a recent DNF?
