What shoes are you guys currently liking for the IM marathon? I have a pair of Alphaflys, but I am just curious what everyone else is running in. I plan on running around a 8:00 per mile pace.
I’m just shy of 8min/mi pace for IM marathon. Saucony Endorphin Elite last year - worked great for IM and several 70.3s. Using the Alphafly 3’s this season, only because my son is working at the local Nike shop and got me a deal I couldn’t pass up.
Ran a 3:19 in vaporfly 3 last sept in Wisconsin. Great shoe

Alphafly 3 is the best all around shoe for Ironman I think. They won’t make you sore. They are fast. And they feel very soft, but still stable.
There is a new model come in May. Google around for more info. The 3s are on sale for that reason. You an find some decent deals around.
The Puma Elite R3 is faster. You might get injured in them if your running sub 7 minute paces in my experience. Slower maybe is ok. I was ok (but hurting more than normal) at 7:30min/miles in one Ironman. Was training again in 1 week. But by the end of one marathon at 6:50 minute/miles I had a 4 week calf injury I’m still recovering from.

I have also tried the Nee Balance SC Elite V5 and found those as a nice, less aggressive option!
