Does anyone have any more information concerning the bike and run courses… lake water temp?

I am living in Regensburg, feel free to ask any questions about the bike and run. I was swimming today in the Guggenberger Weiher and it was still very cold (without a wetsuit). As the lake is only 4 to 5 meters deep, water temperatures up to 25 deg Celsius are possible in August.

Is the bike course technical? Is it hilly, rolling, flat? How would you compare the bike course to some of the other popular ironmans? It looks like the run is flat, right?? thanks! do you know if it’s sold out

For 2010 it is sold out since January.
The run is quite flat and “normal”, you see some historic buildings on the run, its something like 4 rounds at 10 km.
The bike has some elevation 550m per lap (x2), but the hard part is the area around Sünching, where you have the feeling you are constantly going into a headwind. It is definitly slower than Roth.
And what is the average & max percentage of slope level around Brennberg ??
It seems Sunching area look less hard than Brennberg !!
If I say profil of bike course looks like Zurich … is that correct ??? D+ 1260m vs 1500m
