Ironman Hamburg 2023 - Roll Down Process

Hi,
Anyone here who raced Ironman Hamburg last weekend and knows they have a roll down?
Do you know when they start communicating roll downs via email? It’s 5 days after the race now. Thought there would be some sort of Communications.
There were 13 slots in my age group and I’m the first roll down slot. Thx!

how do you know how many slots are in your AG? is there some list? thnks

There were lists on Monday at the awards ceremony per age group and number of allocation slots written at the top.

do you maybe have that list? Photo or something? Or maybe know the number for 50-54?

Have only taken a photo of my list, sorry
.

OK, thanks. One more question, which AG is yours, so I can guesstimate how many is in mine?

Mine was Women 40-44, 49 overall, 13 slots
.

thanks a lot!

Would be just good to know when they start the roll down process. A bit a agonising to wait
I only know through social media that one of the 13 women didn’t take her slot.
Thought maybe some here are in a similar position and have more info.

male 50-54 was 27…I am waiting also!

27 slots?!
I was 10th, not interested to go to Nice, just was curious
Thanks 👍

Did you get an email at all for redeeming your slot?

No. I believe that they’re still sorting out the results since there are still people with short bike (at the first lap they did the U turn at the accident scene)
If you look at the bike splits you will see guys with the 55kmh avg at the third part (Frodeno did 45 😀)

Ah yay, that makes sense. Patiently waiting for an email from Ironman for my roll down. Two ladies in my age group have already approached me that they did not take their slot. Would have thought emails were sent out already. Did you not get one to redeem or decline your qualified slot for Nice?

OMG! I didn’t realise there were so many slots at Hamburg.

Male: 175 slots
Female: 80 slots

Yay, loads of Nice slots but can understand why they are not taken up by the men.

Any ideas on how many slots for M40-44?

If you want to race in Nice, you do it in 2 weeks for less than 700€ saving 900€.
If you want to feel the WC experience, then you wait and race in Kona.
The remaining is the people accepting it but I don’t think IM cares whether it’s the top 175 people going or the last ones, it’s just 175x1600€…

andreapetrovski Unfortunately did not take a photo of that age group but men had quite a few. The virtual slot allocation has started yesterday.

Did you get a slot to Kona?
