Indeed, first full weekend in Nov, has been when the race has traditionally been. Not sure, but with the addition of IMAZ in the fall this year, NAS maybe thinking of changing things slightly for '09( Just my thinking). I would suggest emailing them directly and asking:

You don’t know how many times? I been there three times and i live in Winterpeg, Canada seems sad to most but i use it as a beach getaway so April would be great. Save the summer weekends for GOLF!

Now you’ve done it. I had to go look. Turns out 6 times, '99-'03, and '05. Though many people refer to it as the Redneck Riviera, I personally have enjoyed every trip down there. My family loves the beaches.
