Ironman Courses for Tacx

Are there any readily available courses for Tacx trainers? I know Computrainer has a lot of them.

Last year I rode the 9W equivalent of IM NYC/NJ with my Garmin and tried to import that into a Tacx Trainer Version3 software and it didn’t work too well.

Anyway to get Kona or Vegas 70.3 onto a Tacx Trainer?

Mapitpronto will export a gpx file with elevations in it (mapmyride won’t) import into tts and off you go.

Thank you, now to find the GPX file for Las Vegas 70.3. Bryan Dunn, do you have this on your Garmin? Anyone else?

since 3.11 you won’t be able to upload .gpx or .tcx unless you have a google license

would need to find a way to convert .gpx to .tts, haven’t found anything so far

What’s a google license? Is it hard to get?

If you want to step back a few years, there is software around that will turn slope and distance data into a .pgmf file, this is how I did it with the old fortius software, pain in the ass.

In fact this is how it used to be done.

  1. Draw course on mapitpronto, export as realaxiom file. This is a text file with distance and slopes.
  2. Convert from cumulative distances to segment distances, or perhaps vice versa. Change the commas to periods in the file as well.
  3. Run the pgmf converter
  4. Cross fingers and import into fortius software.

I run tts 1.0 now, I ride singly and so never had to upgrade although I might since vrcyclist is moving more to TTS courses.

You can draw it in mapitpronto or perhaps someone else already has.

Not hard to get the google earth license, put you need to pay for it.

And paying just to be able to import .GPX is seriously a rip off… the trainer itself is already pretty expensive (fortius)

You can still import .TTS files no problem.
