I was just getting ready to sign up for this race for my first Ironman. Pretty excited about it since according to ironman.com spots were still open, but as I went to register it told me that the open spots were closed. Talk about a bummer, looks like I need to find another one.
Or drop some extra cash and sign up for a community slot. At least it’s tax-deductable.
You have to be somewhat fast signing up for an IM when registration opens. Other options are trying for Canada, Louisville, Wisconsin, Arizona, Florida, etc, which are all later in the year (so registration for 2010 has not yet begun).

I just looked and it said less than 30 slots available. Maybe you should try again. Good luck:)
No sure where you’re looking but according to active.com when I try and sign up for it, it tells me that its full. And on the CDA website is says general entry is sold out. I guess the final 30 spots ran out yesterday. Oh well, there’s always other races to sign up for.
