Would have definitely registered if I wasn’t doing 70.3 Maine a week later. Back to back 70.3’s and 70.3 WC a few weeks later probably wouldn’t be a good idea.

I registered, its only 20 mins from home. I have been a short course only guy for 12 years and this is my first 70.3. My rule had always been to just do sprints and olympics that I could do easily from home, now I am adding this.

Same for me - registered for 70.3 Maine. I saw some speculation a week ago that 70.3 Maine could get canceled this year (the early predictor being the cancelation of the Beach 2 Beacon 10K race which was scheduled for Aug 1) and the pivot would then be to Timberman. Any further news/insights on 70.3 Maine probability?
Strongly debating. I’m signed up for IMMT the same day which I have zero thought will actually happen for me as an American. But I still am waiting for the cancellation to sign up for timberman. The limbo is maddening but I get why they are waiting.
I wanna sign up but I wanna take a look a the course maps first. I wanna see how much the course differs from the original Timberman course. Lake Opachee swim and a finish line in the town of Laconia is all that is stated on the race site.
I signed up because it’s so close to my house, but I’m signed up for sooooo many races, which all suddenly seem like they are going to happen. I have a hard time envisioning how I could do it other than maybe training level effort.
Given that it says that athletes will bike on the motor speedway, there is a good chance the new bike course will have a lot of overlap with the old one. That said, obviously the swim is different and with the total location change the run course will obviously also be completely different as well. I’m definitely interested as well to see what this totally new version will be like. I’d sign up but still waiting to see if another race the week before will be happening.
So it just so happens that we are vacationing at the old location but we are scheduled to leave the day before. I don’t know what we are going to do in order to stay the extra day but I got a slot anyway… because it is Timberman! If anyone sees a family of 5 sleeping in their minivan at the start, you know who it is!
