Iron distance races in europe

Does anyone know where I can get a complete list -when and where -of long/ iron distance ,1/2 iron distances races in europe besides the branded ironman races

so far i know there is the Quelle Challenge, a 3/4 at Gerardmer,a new 1/2 iron in Lisbon in May-the El Chorro Extremo in Spain in May ( great race -nightmare run), the Norseman

any others?

I had heard there was a 1/2 in croatia in september but have not been able to find any info.

Also got a 2005 56cm Felt B2 Frame for sale. offers?

There is “The Longest day” in the uk, but I have heard that it may bit the dust now IMUK is on the seen as they have found it hard finding a swim venue due to owners growing concernes on insurance etc in the uk

Longest Day is on for next year. That and IMUK are the two full distance races.

there are about 5-6 HIM races all over the uk as well

who seriously wants to race in the uk though? bad weather -bad roads-arrogant and over officious BTA staff-race organisers that cant organise-the list is endless

when you can go to france ,germany , italy , croatia, spain , portugal, switzerland , denamrk, holland etc have a great long weekend and get mrs jones away and earn brownie points at the same time!

Ziva-the 1/2 in Mljet-I’ve heard this is in a fantastic location -can you tell me more-there does not seem to be an english link to this

Can’t tell from your profile if you’re speaking from experience but in terms of IMUK that’s not really fair. Notwithstanding the fact the lM lawyers thread the event was extremely well organised and, for a first effort, pretty remarkable. Sun shone much of the bike was through picture postcard English countryside and the swim venue (for the price of a bit of mud in the water) took you past two incredible country homes, volunteers were numerous and helpful, logistics worked well - I can’t recommend the race highly enough.

I did Kalmar it this summer. Very good atmosphere and very flat. And it is usually good weather there isn’t it?
