Now that we’re clear on that, if you want to see Iran export nuclear terrrorism in the future, then go ahead and attack them now, unless you think you can kill every single Iranian scientist working on their program. Iran is no more or less a nuclear threat than North Korea or Pakistan. Even their crazy president realizes that any nuclear assault against the west, be that directly or exported nuclear terrorism, would mean the anniliation of Iran. So there is very little worry that they would launch a first strike.
As irritating a thought it is, we’re probably going to have to accept the fact that Iran is getting the bomb, particularly since Russia just nixed a UN sanctions veto against it.
**The thought process behind striking Iran is to prevent Iran from having the nuclear option as that government has proven that it does not use restraint inside or outside their borders. **
Has America proven that it uses restraint outside their borders? How about Pakistan, or Israel?

So you think not attacking them will stop them from exporting nuclear terrorism? Hmmm I dont think the “wait and see” theory has ever been tried when a group has loudly admitted they want another group of people wiped from the face of the earth. We all know of course that Iran has never exported its terrorism and supported groups like Hamas so as to strike at the people its hates so I can see why you believe that if we just sit on our hands they will do nothing. I don’t worry about them much because they have never given supplies to other groups so that group takes the hit when the world gets pissed for the attacks against innocent people while Iran looks around and says “Who me?” And I am really thankful it takes a 1000lb nuclear bomb delivered by a giant pink plane that has IRAN painted down the side to really even start to do an damage and that “dirty bombs” dont exist.
I think you are onto something and the UN could really use you.
So you think not attacking them will stop them from exporting nuclear terrorism?
A.Q Khan of Pakistan did export nuclear secrets and an entire program to Libya and others but no one bombed Pakistan. Why would you bomb Iran when the threat from Pakistan was real and known?
You can bet that if you start picking and choosing choosing countries to bomb despite others doing the same or much worse with impunity, you are going to create the same problems or worse than you got from going into Iraq.
**Other than world condemnation, is there a negative in launching a strike against Iran. **
The irony of course is that the best hedge against Iran was Iraq. So the U.S takes out the Iraq “WMD program” and you are left with Iran, another perfect example of being careful what you wish for when you continue interfering in other countries for your own self interest. Now you are left with the problem that was the biggest one all along.
I actually think a strong Iran is good for the Middle East. Iran would be a nice counter balance to Israel and create another deterrence effect with 2 powers.
