in this day and age when an MP3 library is almost as old school as a shelf of CDs (or cassettes god forbid) how do you listen to your workout song lists on your shuffle. I’ve used it only for podcasts and audiobooks since going pretty much exclusively to Spotify.
If you have a Spotify Premium account, check out the Mighty Audio player. I have one, and love it so far.
Battery life is only around 4-5 hours, but works for me.
I stopped using mine to workout … it just comes with me on plane / long trips when I might not have a charger
Now I use Spotify premium on cell phone with Bluetooth headphones

So glad I had 2 of these puppies (iPod Nano 6th gen), as my primary unit just suffered screen death. I use Spotify on my phone, in the car, at work, etc. But I have a good collection of workout music, and this thing serves me perfectly. I don’t have to haul around a huge phone with me, nor charge my ear buds. I probably have to charge it once a month. I’m not sure what I’ll go to next…
If you are asking about a way to somehow put music on it…doesn’t exist. Mine, like yours, has been relegated to podcasts only. Kind sucks
Get one of these.
Get one of these.
Huh. Does it handle podcasts, audiobooks, etc.?
No idea. Your post just made me remember hearing about this awhile back. I run with my phone so have no need for it.
I just have loaded it with about 50 workout worthy songs (ie uptempo and not too long) and set it to shuffle mode.
When I hear a new song that fits, rip it and add it to the mix. Remove songs that no longer work for you.
