Ipod running music

I need a new CD for my shuffle.

I use it exclusively for running.

What CD should I buy?

anything from the crue.

IPods suck, ITunes is worse…trade it in for a Creative MuVo.

Other then that, Gispy Kings Esta Mundo is a personal favorite in my “workout” collection. Others that come to mind: Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, Oleander, and Stevie Ray Vaughan are always in rotation on my mp3 player

That’s the nice thing about iTunes, you can pick and choose your music and not buy the whole album. albums that are worth listening to in their entirety seem few and far between these days. I did a 3 hour run yesterday on a mix of Ramones, Green Day,The Cramps, The Clash, Sex Pistols, White Stripes, Nirvana, and PTUSA. I highly recommend the all-punk run mix, just don’t get inspired to shoulder charge people you pass.

I did that yesterday. I had a post on music, I printed it and did a search for the songs i liked in itunes.

But I also looked at their billboard, when thru all the years (80’s and 90’s) and pick some of the top songs and downloaded them. they are 0.99$ a piece. hope this helps!

I downloaded a bunch of tunes yesterday from that 80s band Berlin.

depends on what kind of running workout–speed or endurance.

speed --I Get Wet - Andrew WK

endurance–Perefect From Now On - Built to Spill

The only CDs that can handle the rigors of a workout are Back in Black or Dookie. Even the “Best of”, “Greatest hits” or mix CD will has some sort of deadbeat in the middle…rendering it useless for the long haul.

iTunes rocks…but the inability to convert sucks (I use a Nike Mp3_. However…the work around is to burn a CD and then convert back. So, factor a tower of CDRs into your budget.

I buy the pre-paid cards at Targhetto and that keeps me from buying too many at a time.

Any live Rush or Stevie Ray Vaughn Live from Alpine Valley (the last concert he did).

Dead Jimmy (Hendrex)

Another nice thing about iPods is that a lot of accessories are available. You have many choices for cases, silicone, metal, plastic, leather, whatever you want.

Shakedown Street Pembroke Pines or any Scarlet Fire pre 1980.

No conversions issues with Rhapsody, and the music is cheap…kj

I don’t like the I-Pod for working out because any moisture gives it problems. Which MuVo model do you use? Is it the Sport C100? Why do you like this MP3 player the best. Thanks…Smitty

Try a few songs from Griffin House - he is one of my best friends from growing up and actually lived in the Nati for a few years (so maybe a few people here have seen him)

Two good ones to run to would be Ah Me (a good breakup song which seems to be fitting for many on this forum); Waste Another Day

If you want to rock, I like the new one from the Killers all the way through

If you want to get adventurous, try the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion-Orange to start out with

My favorite thing about iTunes is the fact that you can play a 30 second sample just by clicking, so all of you can hear first hand how horrible my taste in music is

Why would you pay for all those 80’s and 90’s songs when you can just have MyFi portable XM radio and listen to the 80’s or 90’s channel all time, forever?

Same thing here. Man. I had to take back 3 IPOD shuffles because the sweat got into the back. I tried everything including all of the protective devices. There’s a bunch of threads about this on here. I liked it but after time number 2, I had had it. I just went out and have used a MUVO since. No problems.

XM is not available everywhere, like Kona for example…kj
