iPOD Question (2)

I think you can down load it put it on a cd then rip it to I tunes.
I will ask my kids
they will know

dirt

I asked the kids
I was wrong
if you can burn it you can rip it
if you can rip it you can put it in a Ipod
napster is a monthly thing
so it might not work

I thought MP3 players were supposed to replace CD technology. So why are we “ripping” to a CD and then unripping to an MP3?

What I love is my teenage son finds the smallest MP3 player know to man. Then he “has” to get this big IHome unit to plug it in to. We miniaturize this music player and than hook it something bigger to make it functional. Sorry, I must be getting old.

I have a 30g Video and a new shuffle. I use the video at night in my iHome, to listen to music, have an alarm and a clock (also has a radio in it). Nothing wrong with that. I use the video for travel mostly and the new shuffle to run with (fits in the key pocket of my running shorts.)

30 Gig? Good God.

How long can you stare at that little screen? It would drive me mad. Mad I tell you.

I always make a CD copy If I buy it online
if my hard drive crashes i have a copy
I use CD’s in my truck
Ill the stuff I listen to they are either old or dead.
I have a play list of dead musicans.

Honestly I don’t have a single video on it. I don’t think I can watch anything on it for any length of time. I currently have something like 7 days of music on it…less then half of my cd collection…and less then half of the 30g!

I have the Sony ear-bud style which I use exclusively…they stay put, are small, super comfortable, and cancel out a lot of outside noise…$40. http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/>INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=MDREX51LP&Dept=audio&CategoryName=pa_Headphones_FontopiaEarbud

I use the stock headphones too, but when running I stick them in my ear, then wrap the cord up around the top of my ear and down the back. They always stay put.

Love the Pod… Hate the buds

Pictures please
.

I wonder if they come in different flavors and shapes!!! lol

My guess is they taste like those sour patch kids after they’ve been in your ear a while

I’m one of those with weird ears that wont hold a bud so I replaced then with some in-ear with clip type that looks something like this. Got then at Staples for about $20 and they sound good.

Martin did you hear that the Milk Advisory Board is placing scent strips that smell of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies on busses in SF in an attempt to make people crave milk?

Why don’t they just make buses that smell like milk? Oh, I guess that would be gross.

“placing…on busses”

The poor are always an effective target.

The poor don’t drink milk, they drink “melk” (whatever the hell melk is)

Oh, I forgot about the melk.

But I think they drank melk.

As in, “I nees to git sum-a-them hush puppies sohs I can drank my melk.”
Or, “hey, you can’t drink that melk in here; this is a lie-barry.”

“this is a lie-barry”

“Fool! You let the dang rain drip in my melk! Push up that UM-breller and less git ovah to the Meat and Threes upside the lie-barry!”

This is a 100% true story (I did NOT make this up):

I was at a local grocery store and overhead a WT couple fighting. Apparently he grabbed the wrong kind of melk which didn’t sit well with the “ol lady.” I heard her say, “yew put that back – that shit tastes like shit.”

YES!!!

easiest thing to do would be to burn it to cd and then re-rip it…there are other software programs that could convert it for you as well

easiest ??? thing to do ? wow, you and i have complete different definitions of ‘easiest’ …

doing all that is simply insane. (not to mention the massive loss of data quality)

I’ve got the same as this guy, just that mine are the classic over-the-head as opposed to these over the ear. The headphone itself is the same, and the ONLY one I’ve ever used that doesn’t get all gobbed up with my sweat (i’m a sweaty pig) during a 16 mile run in the godforsaken hellhole we call central florida

is their a data loss if you burn a mp3 disk then rip it to Itunes ?
I think their would be no loss .
not CD quality.

dirt

your question is difficult to understand. but:

if you take an mp3 and put it on a cd as a data file and it stays as an mp3 = no loss.

if you take an mp3 and put it on a cd as a audio file (plays on a typical audio cd player) = data loss.

i don’t use itunes, but if you take an mp3 and put it on itunes and it stays it stays as an mp3 = no loss.

but if you take an mp3 and put it on itunes and it converts to an aac or another format = data loss.

if you do the typical, ‘take itunes song, burn to audio cd, then re-rip cd on to your computer as mp3 to remove apple corp. control of your file’ = huge quality loss. might as well copy the song off a used cassette.

I was in the same situtation. My wife got me an Ipod for my birthday, and could not stand the ‘buds’. They hurt and fell out. After one day I went to the Ultimate Electronic store and got the Bose 'Buds". They have 3 different size ‘molds’ that fit over their buds. The medium fit for me. They were $100, and sound better than the originials - that did’nt fit.
