Sorry, can’t help.
I never listen to music while out running or riding. I prefer the sound of the wind, the birds, nature and also for safty to listen for cars and other people.

i agree with the cycling… however, i enjoy running w/ tunes tremendously especially during longer runs and track work away from vehicles and people…

I love this case for the nano. It has a great little belt clip. This keeps it from getting too close to your sweaty body. I also use it while riding. The first time I ever rode with it was on a road that actually has no vehicles allowed. Then I got adventurous (or stupid) and started riding with it on roads with cars. I find vehicle traffic to be so loud that you can hear cars even with music playing. When I ride, I clip the nano to the jersey pocket in the back. If conditions are wet, I put the nano in the belt clip case and put that in a plastic baggy, just to play it safe.
Enjoy your nano; its sweet!
I also got a black iPod nano and have been uploading CDs like crazy. I posted this same quesion in the Lavender Room and got a couple of responses. Another question, how can you remove songs/CDs from the iPod? Do you do that from the iTunes page?
you can select how to update your ipod in ipod preferences, it’s the little black ipod looking thingy on the bottom right side of itunes.
This is the best thing for running with the nano.
Overpriced, but nice
I don’t see how anyone can work out with a wire coming from an armband. I tried it and found it to be…annoying, but everyone has their preference.
I’d recommend a belt clip type holder, run the headphone wires under your shirt. That’s more comfortable to me.
Amen!
Target actually has some good accessories for the IPOD. I bought some stuff there. Might be out of them now after xmas though.
I just got an otter box to protect my nano. Its not the smallest case but it is the best. Waterproof to 1m (3ft) so if you get caught in the rain no problem. Cool design too.
So you have had yours out in the elements and have not had any issues?? Have you tried swimming with it? Thanks!

I am beginning to believe you and I are in the minority. I too prefer the sounds around me.
linky doesn’t work, but if thats the colored apple nano armband, I have one (got it at radioshack). Of course, my arm size falls right in the middle of one of the velcro patches; it’s either too small or too large. I’m thinking about removing one of them…
oh, and it doesn’t protect the screen. Again, I’m just assuming your url went to the nano armband.
thanks for all your help fellas… eric, if you could shoot me that nano product name from apple. the one you originally posted with the failed linky (lol)…
is the picture working now? I see it on my screen.
It is the Nike Sport Armband - Black/Gray, Medium/Large
The Nike Sport Armband stretches to fit your iPod nano or shuffle securely, and protects it from sweat while you’re training. Price: $39.95

thanks eric… are you doing any of the races up in the clermont area in 06 ?
You manage all your songs via iTunes. You can “uncheck” songs that you don’t want to go onto the nano, while leaving them on the iTunes, in case you want them later. You can also create “playlists” such as “workout”, “cooldown”, etc. that will play selected songs. Play with it a bit. It’s pretty managable and easy to work with (like all Apple products) once you get the hang of it.
My house is now a 15g iPod/mini/nano/shuffle household. We’re iPod freaks. And it’s only my wife and I.
