Intro

Long time lingerer, first time poster.

43 year old male, second year competitive(?) tri-athlete. Swim is my achilles heel. “I don’t swim. I frolic in the water.” First tri was 148 out of 149 out of the water. Finished 75th overall. Just need to learn to swim straight and not towards the kayaks.

Bike is a Guru Chron’alu. Fantastic bike. Does 15 MPH hanging from the stand.

Training for first IM at IMUSA in July.

Favorite race is powerman alabama. Love going down south in March and showing off my pearly white yankee skin to all those southerners who can ride 365 days a year.

Looking forward to being insulted by each and everyone one of you.

Hey Boss,

Welcome on board. Don’t believe anything you read here. We’re all pretty much nuts.

Seriously though, good choice on the bike. I have 2 Gurus. They rule.

Welcome! And Good Luck at Lake Placid!!!

Hey Barrio, welcome to the board. Tom is correct. You should read page 650 of the DSM-IV(4), Axis II, clusters B & C, under borderline disorders. This will give you a good feel for your fellow Slowtwitch residents.

Strawberry Jell-O is served on Friday.

They’re coming to take me away, ha-haaa,
They’re coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.
To the happy home. With trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket
weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they’re
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!

I’m not certain, but this may be the first post I’ve ever read that had the words “lingerer” AND “frolic” in them.

Then when you throw in the phrase “pearly white yankee skin” … the post just goes up a whole new level.

Good luck on your races, you’re going to fit in around here just fine.

148 out of 149? That must be some “frolic”.

You know, you can leave your bike in the transition area. You don’t have to take in on the swim!

Looking forward to being insulted by each and everyone one of you.

I tried on my last 2 comments. You can repay the favor when I finish 148/149. It’ll happen.

tsk, tsk, don’t forget the “TR”

Finally I have the answer to my swimming woes. And the entire reason I bought a Kestrel was to not have the seat tube to get in the way of my stroke. Cant wait for the season to begin now!

What did you lay about long time lingrie?
