Interesting story on Craigslist

This store is notorious for dealing in bikes with less than stellar ownership records. Good to see the cops taking an interest.

Very interesting.

According to a guy in my club…“The locksmith that came out fix our door said the technique for entry and markings are the same and convinced it’s the same guy. He said this is happening in all neighborhoods and specifically places where they know have bikes. In other words, the thief is watching us when we ride our bikes home. While we can’t prevent anyone from spying on us, if you value your bike like I do, put it somewhere secure.”

Some guy from one of the race teams had four bikes stolen from his house in the Sunset.

Sadly, nothing new:

Interesting follow up.

If anyone has had a bike stolen in the Bay Area recently they should get their serial number and a description to the Berkeley PD asap.
