Interesting ad in Competitor Magazine

In the September 09 Issue of Competitor Magazine (Chicago Edition) on page 40 there is an interesting ad. There is a picture of an old fella with ripped abs wearing a race bib. Text says “Speed, Endurance, Lean Muscle Gains” There is a phone number and a web address. www.phd10.com

Interesting very interesting! I wonder if they even check who puts ads on their magazine or they just don’t give crap about it?

In a down advertising environment, print pubs will take any money they can get.

Is that stuff even legal?

Rejuvenation Center of Florida anyone? You might recall this is where most of the MLB players got their HGH. They found it through a print ad and word of mouth. Is it legal? Depends on what they are really selling. I assume that for $480 what you are getting is really not HGH, but as they say – a sucker born every minute.

Is that stuff even legal?

yup, money talks.

but in answer to your question, take a look at the documentary,
bigger, stronger, faster on dvd (preview here). because whether
something is legal or not means nothing to buyers and sellers
and many, many, many so-called athletes.

but for good reason, as our “legal” system is a tangled and
hypocritical mess when it comes to dealing with all drugs and
pharma products.

Is that stuff even legal?
That’s what I was wondering. I’m amazed they can actually advertise and sell that stuff.

It is very disturbing to see this ad in an “endurance sports” magazine geared towards amateur athletes. I’d expect it to appear in bodybuilding mags.
