Inov8 Bare-X Lite 150

Anyone one of you geeks tried these yet? Coming Aug/Sept '11 but maybe some of you seen them at the trade shows or expo?? I found this info:

"This shoe features a completely level sole with about 3mm of thickness. One of our favorite features in this 5.3 ounce package is the triathlon ready quick lacing system and slip on loops. There may be others, but this could be the first completely zero drop triathlon shoe.
And if you didn’t have enough incentive to work on getting your feet off of the ground more efficiently, the sole has bones on it. If it wasn’t enough to blow by some body at the end of the race with your nearly perfect running form, this may be all the incentive you need.
This shoe will debut in early fall (Aug/Sept) of 2011 with a red and white color scheme. The spring will feature an orange, blue, lime green (this one looks cool, seriously) and pink. More great shoes in the Inov8 family."

i just bought the f-lite 230 in my attempt to go zerodrop. These inov-8 look really cool maybe the 2012 version for me when i am at zerodrop

These are the 2012 version. 2011 is due this month and all white with red highlights. Also bare x lite 200 is out too same zero drop shoe with a little bit beefier uppers. Numbers in Inov-8 models indicate actual weights. X lite 150 is 150 grams X lite 200 is 200 grams.

Current X lite 150 model out this month: I was told heel and tongue has pull loops and will come with speed lace option. But the shoe does not have ab actual tongue, its like a slipper with lacing.

If it’s light you want, why not just go with a Nike Mayfly?

I’m not sure how much drop they have, but it doesn’t feel like much, and they’re even lighter than these…

mayfly is 8 mm.

I hope the Bare-X line is not as narrow as most Inov8s. I like them but always have to size up to get enough forefoot room.

Check it out - we had the pleasure of getting our hands on some earlier this year. Ran them for quite a while now and really love those shoes.

We wrote a short review: http://tridudes.wordpress.com/2011/07/19/inov-8-bare-x-lite-150-a-barefoot-shoe-review/

Hope that helps!

Now that you resurrected every old racing flat recommendation thread, can you please let me know where I can buy them?
