Injury (leg) question--any insights? rroof? med peeps?

I did an extremely hilly offroad 1/2 marathon one weekend followed by a PR 1/2 marathon the next.
After the 2nd half marathon, I developed a pain just above and posterior to the inside of my ankle that runs up next to the achilles tendon. It’s a deep pain that is worsened when I unweight it as I toe off while walking/running. It’s completely keeping me from running. It’s even painful to walk.

Anyone able to point me into a direction? The most frustrating part is that I can’t really feel anything to massage (the pain isn’t touch sensitive)

Thanks.

Adam

Good luck!

Yes, I would check PTT as suggested by rroof. I had this about a month ago, exactly as you described. I iced it, kept it elevated at night, wore a little ankle brace, and took ibuprofen. I went to PT 3-4 times for ultrasound treatment and then it cleared up. However, my case wasn’t as severe as yours. Good luck!
