First time I had a “13” in my number, I DNF’d a marathon… second time, I won my age group in a Duathlon…
Let’s hope it’s “lucky number 13” this time!!

That’s a bit funny.
I play mind games with myself on these sort of things - it helps to have a simple mind. Anyway, my lucky number is 7 since my birthday is the 7/7 (band new to 45-49!). So, there is no 7 in my bib BUT the digits add up to 11 and you take 2 off for 2 laps on the bike and another 2 off for the 2 laps on the run (the swim is easy so the laps erase each other) and it equals seven SO it must be lucky!
It will also be my 13th IM BUT, believe it or not, it rained on 4 of them and I really bonked twice, SO I again take those off and I am back to seven. The numbers just seem to work. Sounds like my day - can’t wait!!
