Does anyone know if Community Fund slots are still available for IMUSA 09? I’m not putting too much stock in that tracker.

I can’t say if the count is right, but I mailed my checks and forms last Monday. No overnight or priority. I got the word on Friday that I was in. I had pretty much giving up on getting in and thought for sure the CF would not pan out. If your interested, I would do it now.

Not sure about the CF spot status either but when I went on Active.com to confirm my race entry, on the 1st of August, you could see the names who had not yet signed up(of those that had gotten “Monday morning entry confirmation”). Two friends are signing up via CF for the first time.
There were LOTS of names who had not signed up yet. We had until the 3rd to do so.
So, I got to wonder if…
1)say they took in 2200 pre-registrants and 300 don’t end up signing up.
2)400 community fund spots
Do they then allow a few more CF spots to creep in? Leave it at the number that DO sign up?

you didn’t read his question he was wanting to know how accurate the current status is.
If they don’t subtract everytime someone prints the application(they can’t I’ve printed them off in the past just in case didn’t subtract from the number).
The number only goes down for each application they receive at the office… So hence his question how accurate is the status.
I’d probably think when it gets down in the low teens then theres still possibility that even if you send it in you won’t get in unless they allow a few overs to get in.
Last years charity for lake placid went less than a week(200 or 300 ) then they put up 100 more I believe few wees later and those went quick.
now that it’s $1300 seems to be taking longer but they started with 400 I believe so maybe the $1300 is getting close for now to the limit most folks would pay but you never know.

I actually wondered exactly how they do keep the status count up date and do they return your app if you are a few numbers over…
Lets be realistic here…community slots are about money…if you got the money this early in the year…we all know there will be a slot…this is NA Sports afterall!
