I think I may have been the first that registered! I’m a dork, with this being my first, I was online right at noon when registration opened last May
who woulda thunk it. when did it sell out last year ?
I signed up the day reg. opened.
This will be first IM after four halfs. im traveling from mi. and pretty excited.

last year it sold out in the week between Christmas and New Years.
After the swim being cancelled at Florida I am sure there were a few first timers that signed up to get the full experience, and with it being one of only 4 U.S. races with pros next year, that may have provide a little incentive for some.
Also, with last year’s swim being wetsuit legal, some fence sitters may have taken the plunge. Of course, that means next year will be like the first edition (2011), HOT HOT HOT.
