Implants

My wife is 6’ tall and currently weighs 150-155 with a 14-17% body fat after becoming a gym rat last July. Since July she has lost 25+ pounds and lowered her body fat from 28% to the % above. She has competed in her very first Fitness/Bikini Competition and will do more of them. She has never been large-breasted and when compared to her height she has always felt out of proportion adn small. So, she is looking to get implants. However, she goes back and forth due to her age which is 50 on whether or not to even bother. She has very little left and what’s left doesn’t feel the same since there is NO fat in them anymore.

So, I’m going to ask…for those that have gotten them…worth it? Would you do it again? What would you do differently? If you can relate to getting them at 50 would you do it again?

I’ll probably have her check this for replies so tell her what you think before she pulls the trigger.

Thanks!
-Steven

As a man…I would completely support the decision to get them.

As a husband, I would be a little more concerned. It is major surgery and things do go wrong all the time. There is always a risk anytime anyone is cutting or putting something into you.

Dude, there is The Womens forum for this kind of question.

Fake cans rock. I have been fortunate enough to enjoy them for some time now with my current I think they are great if SHE wants them. My girlie had always wanted them and finally got 'em. Um yea. Just not too big though b/c it looks ridiculous. They are a freaking blast. They make great pillows when watching tv in bed too.

Pictures or it didn’t happen.

If you can, do it. You only live once. If you have children you want to consider something else.

Good luck

Please post a picture when they are all installed. I can see the title of the tread "…PJORN"

Some folks die from this kind of surgery. So, if she were to die, would it have been worth supporting her doing this?

My mom had it done at 51. Nice for her, but very bizarre for her 3 kids (ages 18-27). It was a noticeable change for her, which isn’t necessarily the best thing in a town of 2k.

OK, most people will say no, either because of the “you should be happy with what you have” or “people die during these surgeries”.

Here is what I think. It’s a decision that should be made by your wife. If she feels insecure about how she looks now, and this will make her feel better, then by all means she should do it. Also, keep in mind that implants does not automatically mean Pam Anderson sized boobs. implants come in a large variety of sizes, including A cups. There are so many sizes because they are also used for reconstructive surgery after a mastectomy or trauma, etc… So she doesn’t need to get DD size breasts. Any competent surgeon will be able to show what different sizes look like. Also, it is true that people have died from implant surgery, but the number of deaths is not very high. This procedure is done thousands and thousands of times every year without any adverse outcomes. If possible, have the surgery done by a surgeon who operates in a hospital, or next door to a hospital.

But ultimately it is up to her. As a good husband, you should support her in whatever her choice is.

UGGGGHHHHHH!!!

My wife got them about a year ago. I was 100% against it and I told her so. I’m not happy with the results.
Some will call me selfish, but there are two people that have to live with her decision.

Hey thats my mom!

some people die walking across the street. maybe we shouldn’t walk across the street anymore…

Im not a fan of fake boobs. Real is much better.

Big difference between walking across the street or having elective surgery.

Well, If they turn out like this, then you might be the lucky dog!
