Can anyone out there in Penticton give an update? I heard that the Nationals last Sunday in B.C. were not allowed wetsuits due to warm water… What are the chances this happens on Sunday?
My guess is that “no wetsuit swim” is 0% probability, simply cause NAS will drop ice cubes in the water and then measure the temp right beside it…they was the 2500 mass of humanity with “flotation devices on”…
My bigger concern is cooking in a long sleeve wetsuit…my last few 3.5K openwater wetsuit swims here in Ottawa, where it has been cool were still warm enough that I was completely dehydrated after 1 hour of hard swimming in neoprene. i am wondering if I should bring my sleeveless suit to Penticton?

LOL. Thats funny, and I hope your right. I don’t have a sleeveless, but thats not a bad idea. Then again, your one of those skinny guys anyways, I didn’t think you could overheat??

Ack, things I definitely don’t want to hear as someone who JUST got their long sleeve wetsuit. lol
I’m not in Penticton yet, but I will bet its 65-68 degrees in the lake as it always is for IMC … Jonnyo should be there so he can tell us … but he tends to tweak us all about it being too hot so be suspicious

-age group will always be wetsuit for safety and security reason…so stop asking or worrying
-okanagan lake can be 76 one day and 65 3 hours later…so no point in asking… it change all the time in a matter of hours
-last night…lake was crazy hot…not fun with a wetsuit… this morning, it probably chilly because we had a storm and high wind and the lake must have turn the water from bottom to top…

Are you saying you cannot pack a second wetsuit in your suitcase? 
Or about going sleeveless and bring you arm warmers for the swim just in case
But when I replace my wetsuit, this is one reason I will seriously consider Desoto so I can have two different tops with the same “bottom”.
