Out of curiosity, I just checked the IMAZ registration - general entry is still open 30 minutes after entry opened. Interesting.
Last year it didn’t even make it to online registration…years prior it would sell out in minutes…anyone have an idea why it’s different this time?

I have gotten in online repeatedly, even 20 minutes late to the party in 2014, 30 minutes in 2012. last year I did not try, but all other years, no problem. Last year seems to have been the abnormal year.
Or if I were a conspiracy theorist, I would claim they slow down the traffic for those in heavily represented regions so those of us in the less represented pockets go and go back and tell others about it. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, so I think it’s just work firewalls or urban legend.
Going on an hour now. Florida is still open. Arizona is not selling out in minutes. I think supply may have finally reached demand when it comes to US IM’s.

The brand is getting more and more expensive.
The addition of a 70.3 in AZ probably helps… Gives local AZ people something to start without fully committing the time, money and pain for the full. I’d say WTCs goal is to have races not sell out in 10mins… If it’s open for a while they are probably closer to balancing supply/demand.
