So for the pro series, I guess weāre getting slightly more than a half, with the points for a full.

This has Vincent Luis written all over it.
I already had Vincent Luis in my podium picks but I moved him up a notch. Jamie Riddleās another good one where heāll be further up the list than heād otherwise be.
Stornes has always been the best swimmer of the Norwegians, but if those guys + Salvisberg drill the swim knowing that the bike & run are shortened, can Stornes hold on?
Next IM Pro Series race is 70.3 Swansea this w/e.

Start list includes Loevseth but I read elsewhere she has withdrawn. With great, series winning points from Oceanside, Texas and Hamburg, she doesnāt need another race, provided she finishes Nice and Kona in good order.

Findlay for debut; Sodaro for her big ārevealā (and AQ validation); Perterer #5 in kona last year and hoping for a top 5 IMPS with a good one here, IMPS hopes for Sanchez, Thek and Jewett.

Kleiser (think she was F3 - came #3 last year if you recall) must have withdrawn before I accessed the Swansea start list. Also Meissner/MeiĆner has withdrawn.
That leaves PierrƩ on form better than the rest. She has 7090 points so I assume she has decided to go two 70.3s (Aix and Swansea) and only one IM (Hamburg) into Nice/Kona for her five IM Pro Series scores. In the hunt for top 7.
Was expecting to see Holly Lawrence, Sanders and Leon C on the list but I guess they have other plans? Kyle Smith also not looking for a Kona slot ? Only one more qualifier left I believe ?

4MPRO, 4WPRO at IMLP and last chance saloon 3+3 at IM Sweden (Kalmar) in mid August.
I guess Lawrence has called it a day for the season on full distance after her DNF in Hamburg. If fit maybe has switched fire to T100 (Vancouver in mid August). Remember she had an excellent #4 in T100 Spain only 2 weeks before Hamburg and averages #5 in all her PTO Open/T100 races. I guess she could still go to Kalmar as she hasnāt got a start in Nice (so would have plenty of time before Kona. I speculate that Lawrence may provide additional information to us shortly.
A Fighting Chance before Hamburg:
Sanders has a thread all of his own - pulled out of IMLP late on and we are told will race 70.3 Boise the weekend after. Entirely sensible to give full distance a miss. Kona 2024 experience was not good. No IMs in 2025 and then catastrophe in Texas three months ago.
Chevalierās results since his superb #4 in Kona 2024 have been patchy and do not suggest itād be worth him going to Kona this year.

Missing out on excellent heat training in South Wales, though training in England for the next week will offer >30oC temperatures every afternoon.
Temperatures for Swansea on Sunday look benign: 18oC running over the bridge to T1 up to 26oC for a run complete by noon. Far better than feared.
Another top athlete we expected to race IMLP has withdrawn (one of the missing bib numbers above): Danielle Lewis

So āgoing forwardā, no IMLP, no Boise, no Nice. Implicitly hopes to be strong enough to race Kona (she is KQ).
