Thanks for all the good vibes you all sent me! I had a terrific day out there and beat my “best estimations” by about 10 minutes. My goal was to finish with the time of 13:something on the clock. But realistically felt that in a perfect day, I would be around 13:30. Coming in at 13:20 and feeling amazing (both physically and mentally) was more than I could have ever hoped for (and a 2 hour 17 minute PR). It was a great way to wrap up a terrific season. I saw PRs all year long from my half-mary in April to the TTT in May to a HIM in July. Heck, my IM marathon was even a marathon PR for me.

I’ll likely write a race report soon but just wanted to say thanks for all the support on Sunday!

Hey - I looked at your profile, your from the IL area. Did we chat on the course, I think on Observatory Hill, second loop??? You mentioned the home town in IL and I said something about “U2 opening up their NAmerica tour in Chicago last weekend”? Was that you?

You kicked butt!!! Congratulations on a fantastic race!

You were fantastic out there. I think you took some mojo from your roommate

Deanna you killed it on Sunday and I couldn’t be more happy for you!!!

I’ll look forward to seeing you on the course next year yelling at me to get my fat ass up the hills in Madison. Maybe take some swim lession from you…

I have to say this is both flattering and funny!!

One of these group rides was the Tour de Chad, cycling camp with Chainring Multisport, in the Blue Ridge Mountains in April. During camp, I really learned how to climb and descend. My cycling has reached an entire new level. It really helped me during the IM. I was able to cut significant time off my bike time without jeopardizing my run. Plus I learned the wonder that is known as Urban Dictionary.

Congrats again, hope to see you soon

Eric
