Life took over and I fell off track. I finally decided I needed a change. Pleasantly surprised to find some entry slots open. All registered for IM Louisville !!
Super excited. I went through all of my old gear. Tested my batteries in my sensors and HR straps, watch, etc. getting a plan together to build up a bike… Went through my old parts to see what I have and what I need.
Good times!
First run was today. My thoughts:
1 min- oh wow, my Hr is that high?
2 min- I’m running too fast?
3 min- wow, I am out of shape!
4 min- was that my knee… Wait… What’s that ache in my leg?
5 min- damn, how do you use this watch again?
6 min- seriously- how do you use this watch.
7 min- stopped to figure out my watch
8 min- running again …
9 min- why do my feet hurt, I use to love Lunarglides?
10 min- wait- the new Lunarglides have a stitched tongue, I think that’s new
11 min- yeah- I think so, my orthotics fit like crap in these shoes
12 min- this is just sad, I am really struggling.
13 min- oh, there it is- found a comfortable pace
14 min- finding my stride!
15-20 min- oh yeah… I missed this shit!
A very lame 20 min run to start the season… But, it’s a start!
I’m back baby!!!
