Does anyone have info on the IM AZ '09 community slots? Of course general registration is sold out, but I’m thinking of getting a community fund slot – the ironmanarizona.com website reports that more info about community slots will be coming soon, but the community fund slot website keeps reporting that it is closed (to general entry, I assume?). I emailed a contact person at IM, and no response yet.
Does anyone know if IM AZ '09 community slots are sold out? Thanks – I’ve been deciding between IM AZ and vineman for my first iron-distance tri.
If IMLP has over 100 spots left, IMAZ will have plenty available. Wouldn’t worry about it. I did CF IMAZ last year and didn’t sign up until May/June and that was after the malay in April that had many people jumping for them trying to re-do the race under better conditions later in the year.
I think NAS has finally found the pinnacle of what they can charge for a CF slot as they’re not exactly flying off the shelf this year with the $225 bump from 08 to 09.
