I’m competing at IM 70.3 Santa Cruz on Sunday but will be in Santa Cruz late Friday and all day Saturday prior to the race. Wondering if anyone wants to meet up for a practice swim or 2 at Cowell Beach (race end area) or the main beach (race start area)? I’m comfortable in open water, just raced a 2.7 mile point to point lake swim a few weeks ago. I just have almost zero ocean swim experience. I went to Santa Cruz a couple of weeks ago and did a solo 20min swim at Cowell Beach but didn’t go out too far since I had no partners, etc. So if anyone is interested in practicing a bit ahead of the race, message me please!

I am arriving that afternoon so I am out but I know of at least 2 groups swimming at 9:30 and 10:00. There will be a bunch of people down there so if you don’t find anyone on here, just make friends that morning.
