So I recently bought a pearl Izumi tri kit. 2 piece, pro series, I bought online since no tri shop within 150 miles. the top leaves a small gap in the neckline area, just enough for water to catch it on the swim, and a little bit of air on the bike , I can’t return since its been worn and I’m fairly certain that dropping down to size medium would be to small. the top actually catches water causing the shirt to billow w water. I can’t dry it to shrink it. Or can I? Maybe pin the back tighter somehow ? This is the 150$ question for the slow twitch experts.
You can’t shrink it…
You might be able to have someone take in the back by the shoulderblades or on the front depending on the panelling. take it to a shop that does alterations. I’ve done this myself and just serged (type of stitching) seams a bit tighter to take up some slack and save a favorite piece.
