would anyone race in it?
weightlifting and bodybuilding have ‘untested’ categories and they are the most popular
would cycling be the same eventually if it had untested categories?

We’ve been watching that for years, Andreau and Hincapie pulling the peloton up the climbs in the TdF ring a bell?

Probably, but I think it would be a horrible idea. The series would provide a sort of legitimacy for the doping, which I believe would encourage up and coming cyclists and kids to experiment with doping. Seems like a dangerous can of worms to open up…
We got plenty of kids!
=)

Of course as Samuel L Jackson said during the espys, “I want to see this. I want to see 800 foot homeruns, and in boxing I want to see someone get the head punched off.”
Who wouldn’t want to see how fast these people could go with the help. I mean if you watch someone fly up the alps at 30 mph, that would be insane to watch. Plus I would think this would help clean up the sport, cause the dopers could have an event of their own.
Well, people still watch major league baseball, which is - let’s not kid around - essentially completely doping legal. So I guess people would watch cycling too.

Do you really think so? I’m not convinced. Doping is done to gain an advantage, so there’s still a huge incentive to race in the “clean” division while doping, hoping not to get caught.
Meanwhile, in the “doper’s” division, you’d have people going to crazy new levels of experimentation to gain an edge. Might not be pretty…
…but, I’d probably still watch for entertainment value!
He is on anabolic steroids, nyquil… and some sort of fish paralyzer, which is of course perfectly legal at the all drug olympics:

I don’t believe it - but it looks like he accelerated with the intention of riding the fields legs off, but infact he rode his own legs off…

Pro football, too.
Funniest post I’ve seen in a while.
Yes, I would watch it–I watch the Tour de France and UFC don’t I?
We have this already - Freestyle BMX. I’m POSITIVE many of those guys are dopers
but infact he rode his own legs off…
Wait a minute… He seems to have some sort of metallic endo-skeloton beneath the skin on one leg (Is that legal?)… He is continuing to ride up the slope with only one bionic leg. I guess the only question will be if he can finish before he runs out of blood… Oh, wait. They have prepared for this. The team car has pulled up and the team “doctor” is transfusing blood while in-motion. You have to hand it to the doctors, they are able to hit a vein while hanging out of the car going 30mph.

No it wouldn’t. You’ve still got that cutoff point, where someone that dopes can’t quite cut it in the “doper” league, but they’d be an absolute stud in the “clean” league…assuming they didn’t get caught.
John
At least the riders would tell the truth about being on gear… instead of denying it over and over.
Yes, I would watch it.
It would probably look something like this…

EDIT: Should have known someone would have already put this up!
The only riders who would race in it would be the ones who get caught doping.
I wouldn’t watch. it would be a sideshow and a joke. sponsors wouldn’t pay for it.
sponsors would pay for it
just different ones =)

I don’t think we’d be cheering for the athletes as much as for the pharmacists. They’d need a separate section for the pharmacists so we could root them on.
It reminds me of that Peyton Manning commercial: “You’re my favorite accountant!!!”
