If I run in Brooks Launch, what should I race in?

I just ran in my T6’s from last year and they feel trashed, no bounce at all. Now I love the new Launch’s by Brooks and run in them 8+ miles. Do any of the shoe guru’s out there have thoughts on a race shoe? I prefer Brooks in general, but am open to others. The myriad of brook racing choices all look alike to me.

I race in mine.

I love my Brooks Launch and wear them the majority of time in training and whenever I am doing anything longer than 70.3. I wear the T7 Racer for anything 70.3 and under.

Brooks Launch for anything over 13 miles, training or racing.
Brooks Racer ST5 for anything less than that…training or racing…awesome shoe

I do halfs and longer in Launch and less in T7. May race a half in the 7s though. Dont think the St5s are great coming from launch, too firm

well, thank you folks, I’ll look for some T7’s for the shorter stuff.

X2

Used to use the Defyance for anything longer than half’s but the Launch is lighter and more responsive so that is the go-to kicks now.

Brooks T7. The Green Silence are good too, as long as the course is not too technical. I found they were a little sloppy running ~5:15 miles on an open 5k course that had lots of turns last year. I would definitely wear the Green Silence for 1/2 Marathon up to 50k where I’m 6:00 and up pace. I really do like the T7 best for fastest efforts up to marathon, though.
