A strange listing: it seems to imply that a wetsuit should be folded (instead of hung on very thick hanger) for proper long-term storage. But this is 100% in opposition to everything I have heard from a number of experienced wetsuit manufacturers.
I actually keep mine folded in a bag after being douched with clean water and air dried o ut of direct sunlight. Which reminds me I need to do that now.
Yep, that was my old QR. It was stored as he described. Still in great condition, but I would never race in it again. Pretty darn no price. This ebay store sold off a bunch of my old personal stuff. They sell samples, blems and discontinued De Soto product. Good people, honest and reliable.
As for wetsuit care, here is what we recommend for T1 Wetsuits.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR T1 WETSUIT
Rinse the T1 with clean water after every use.
Hang the T1 to dry, but not on a wire hanger.
When the T1 is dry inside and out, store by folding once or laying it unfolded.
Do not use petroleum jellies, or Pam Spray!
Do not leave the T1 hanging for a long period of time.
Do not expose the T1 to direct sunlight or heat.
Do not machine wash or dry.
Do not dig your nails into the T1!
While Chlorine may hurt other brands, it does not hurt the T1, so go ahead and swim in the pool with it. Just make sure you rinse it really well after every use.
Below is a new product we highly recommend and, yes, we sell it too! It is really good stuff.
CATFIVE Wetsuit Cleaner

Do not leave the T1 hanging for a long period of time.
You are the wetsuit expert, but do you know the reason behind this rec?
Good question.
The reason is that many people will use either a plastic, metal, wood or wire hanger and the weight of the wetsuit on hangers like this will eventually cause the shoulders to tear. So it is fine while it is drying, but for extended periods of time, as in months at a time, laying flat works best.
I will tell you that if you have a well-padded hanger that has padding about 1 inch in diameter where the wetsuit will rest it will be fine to keep it hanging.
Funny you posted this. This is our good friend Dave Shearon at yesterday G.C.T 1/2.
He won masters I think. Same wetsuit.

I thought it was interesting and that maybe someone who collects tri related history or Emilio looking to get his old stuff back for nostalgia reasons. I know I would like to have my 83 Supergoose with acs Z rims or old PK ripper back. I personally find laying down wetsuit folding arms to chest. Then folding legs from waist up to chest. Folding where the joints are then rolloing and storing in a sling backpack works for me.
Thanks for the tip. I pulled out the calipers and measured the width of the hanger I use. At its narrowest it is 1.2 inches thick.
