Thanks!!! He may have to wait until next year for the wheels though!!!
Do you have a budget in mind?
I’m really behind the times, but just got a GPS watch and am loving it. So make sure he’s got one.
Thank you…although he has a GPS watch already. It seems so hard nowadays when we can usually get whatever we desire ourselves. Thus my reason for reaching out to everyone here
this may sound goofy (no pun intended), but these new headphones work great if you like listening to music while working out. Never fall out and super comfy. for someone who may be tough to buy for.

If he doesn’t have a Leatherman multi-tool, get one. Not exactly tri-specific, but one of the best gifts I’ve ever received.
Its gotta be a pair of Nite Ize spoke lights. $5 to $10 per - multi colors. Great gag gift -just hope they don’t use them when the are with you…
Thanks so much all…great ideas so far! Keep them coming!
You know what? Perhaps the best piece of gear that I haven’t been able to justify buying for myself is a bonafide transition bag.
They get crazy expensive, but they are super sweet.
He may have a duffel or a backpack he uses, but that’s not the same. These things have waterproof compartments to hold your wet shoes, wet clothes and keep them separate from the dry stuff. Pockets for wallets, glasses, cell phone, helmet. You can put everything but your bicycle in these things. They are invaluable when you can’t park near transition and need to hoof it. If it’s backpack style you can hop on your bike and ride there from the car.

Another thing that few people tend to justify the price of, but which is really really nice once you have it are the Xtenex laces.

Get him a kit so he can wrench his own bike. Teach a man to wrench a bike… something about wrenching for a lifetime.
A SwiMP3 music player
the new finis SwimSense watch
There’s plenty of interesting gadgets in the ThinkGeek catalog (thinkgeek.com)

ahhh yes the cool stuff for the pool!!!
ahhh yes the cool stuff for the pool!!!
Just noticed one of the swimmers at practice this morning with a tiny little lap counter that slides on the index finger. Not much larger than a big class ring. That was kinda cool.
There are also some ‘cadillac’ style swim goggles out there that people rave about, but most won’t spring for. That’s another good idea.
That lap counter sounds awesome!!! anyone know where to find it?? I think I need one for myself
Thanks so much!
