ID Bracelet (1)

Are there any other companies that make durable ID Bracelets or the ID Plates? More/less looking to spread a few dollars around to some other companies outside of the mainstream Road ID.

I’ve worn a Medic Alert ID bracelet for years because of some medical conditions. They have lots of different styles of bracelets available.

For the record, I also wear a Road ID bracelet when I work out, just as added protection.

RoadID is a great product that supports triathletes (& all athletes, really) with multiple options. And their prices are super reasonable for what you get & how long they last. Their plates are guaranteed for life & their customer service (all 4 times I’ve had to call for some random issue or another) have been fantastic.

They offered an unsolicited discount code to all (via the IMCHOO athletes FB page) after someone was spreading some good word after an incident…

If it isn’t broken, why try to fix it? Competition is never bad, but if you’ve got a company that’s reasonable & doing the right thing then why intentionally look to go elsewhere?

Anyone have any good RoadID discount codes (besides the universal free shipping coupon)?

Touche - do you happen to recall that special IMCHOO discount?

In Roth, Airsteem bicycle folks from Austria were handing out very nice heavy duty ziplock bags to carry your phone in. The baggies had a place to put your contact info and any other vital information. Seemed like a cheap (free) solution to me.

Sift through the IMCHOO facebook page…it may still be active…was 20%, I think.

Unfortunately no luck on there
.

I might be biased but ICEdot make a very simple, durable band, I’ve worn mine daily for two years and it still looks like new. Has a unique ID code and a SMS short code. Simply text the ID to the number and you get a text back with all the relevant medical and emergency info (which you provide, can be as much detail as you like).

$20 for the band and first year of service, $10/year afterwards. ICEdot is US based in Tulsa, OK. ICEdot.org for more info.

RoadID also makes a pretty helpful app if you’re into that sort of thing.
Just turn it on, tell it how long you are going and hit go.
It sends whoever you choose a gps map file of wherever you are and will send out an alert if you stop moving for 5 minutes.
I luckily have never had to use the emergency features, but my wife likes the ability to see where I am.
