Yesterday I was supposed to ride 50+ with the guys. I rolled over, looked at Girl, hit the “off” button and slept in. Man did it feel good. Then we went out to breakfast. First time I’ve done that in years. Really nice.
No wonder I’m slow.

the end must be near
I didn’t do my run yesterday until 5pm for the same reason… over, and over, and over
how booked are you guys with fittings? just got my new ride and am building it today
We’re OK for fittings right now. I have been seeing some people on Sunday by appointment to take some of the load off. This time of year we are pretty much 24/7- name your time.
I did redeem myself this morning by getting up and ridng for an hour at 7:30 AM.
I had to be at work all day on Saturday so I didn’t get on my bike until 4:30. I rolled back in the door at 9 and then did a circuit of pull-ups/push-ups, core, etc until the domino’s guy came. What’s sleeping in?
Damn. That is pretty darn impressive. That is really what I need to do.
New bed isn’t helping.
Sounds like a good mental health day. ![]()
you’re in the “new” stage of the bed and the woman… you’ll get used to it and then get up and train instead… I used to do everything in my new bed, basically had my home office in there, but now it’s all moved back to the coffee table in the living room, and the woman, well she stays in bed and I go train, she’ll be there when I get back…
Are you guys working on Memorial Day Monday?
It was. After this last year it was just such an enormous mental exhale. Incredible.
My girlfriend is such a sweet person. She is so friendly and honest and unpretentious. It is so nice to just have a presents like that in the house. It is just about having a friend there- someone who isn’t try to change you or take advantage of you. It’s nice just to have a buddy.
Good stuff. Glad to hear it…you sound like a new person with regard to our fair gender. ![]()
It has been a nice, and important transformation. It snuck up on me. Everyone said it would. They were right.
The only way this could have worked was that she is a person I have known nearly my entire life. I have known her family my entire life. I always trusted her, I knew what kind of a person she was and her family is. They are good, honest, hard working people who take good care of each other.
They have a handicapped child in the family and to see the care and attention they provide for him is incredible. It makes you want to be as good.
She’s a fine person and I am lucky to have her as a friend.
I think she is equally as lucky to have you as a friend.
I have no idea what she sees in me. She laughs at my jokes though.
It’s always good when you can make them laugh. It’s actually one of my rules - if we don’t laugh a lot I know to stop dating them.
I’m sure she sees plenty in you. It doesn’t take too much to look through those walls and tough skin.
She laughs at my jokes though
Sounds like my lady, she laughs at my jokes, she also very politely tells me when I am being an idiot. The second thing is almost as important as the first ![]()
Thanks my friend, that’s nice of you to say. ![]()
That’s huge. You’re killin me.
There is and always will be only one Mr. Tibbs.

Hmmm. can she even see through all that “fat”. Hmmmmm.
Nah I’m kidding, but what are you smoking Tom? Give me a break, all of us see all of these awesome qualities, and we have never even met you. While we do know a fair amount about you by your candor in your editorials and on this board, it is only great stuff. Hard to imagine someone like you not sweeping some lucky lady off their feet. Then again, about that “weight problem” you have…
To be honest people even want to name drop you and post pictures they have with you on this bboard. Talk about famous.
Once in a while I need to change it up. I broke out my touring bike yesterday and went on a breakfast ride with my buds. We rode through farm country, saw pheasant, geese, cows and horses. And every three or four miles we even saw a car. We actually had someone holler “be careful” to us. You can’t beat it. It changes the mind set.
all show and no go.
